What We Collect
We collect minimal information to provide our CAD viewing service:
- Email address when you create an account
- Files you upload for viewing (temporarily processed, not stored)
- Basic usage analytics to improve our service
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to:
- Provide CAD file viewing services
- Maintain your account and preferences
- Improve our service quality
- Send important service updates (no marketing spam)
File Privacy
Your CAD files are processed in your browser when possible. When server processing is required:
- Files are processed temporarily and deleted immediately after viewing
- We never store or access your file contents
- All processing happens on secure, encrypted servers
macOS App
The CADDaddy macOS app does not require an account and does not collect analytics. The account, email, and analytics practices described above apply only to caddaddy.app and not to the macOS app.
When you open a DWG file in the macOS app, conversion is first attempted locally on your Mac using a bundled converter. If local conversion fails, the file is uploaded to CloudConvert as a fallback, where it is processed and then deleted per CloudConvert's retention policy. No other files leave your device.
Data Sharing
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Period.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Request a copy of your data
- Contact us with any privacy concerns
